Before You Travel

Visa

Do I need a visa?

US and UK passport holders do not need a visa for stays under 90 days in Italy. Italy is part of the Schengen Area. Guests from other countries should check requirements with their embassy or a travel advisor well in advance.

Currency

Money & payments

Italy uses the Euro. Most places accept major credit cards. We recommend having some cash for personal expenses during free time — lunches, local exploring, tips. Your package covers accommodation, dinners, breakfast and open bar so spending will be minimal.

Insurance

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance as soon as you pay your deposit. It protects your investment in case of illness, flight cancellations, or unforeseen circumstances. Given our cancellation policy, it gives everyone peace of mind.

Packing

What to wear

September in Lake Garda is warm — 22 to 27°C / 72 to 81°F. Light fabrics work best. For the wedding ceremony, dress code is Formal / Earth tones. For the welcome dinner, Italian Evening Chic. For the retreat day, Resort Casual. For departure, Italian Summer Chic.

Getting around

Local transport

Once you are at the villa, you will not need a car — everything happens on the property. If you arrive early or stay late in Verona, taxis, Uber and trains are all available. Lake Garda is also well served by ferries if you want to explore on free days.
